What you get

  • 01

    Both languages, one transcript

Code-switched speech stays as it was spoken. No forcing a bilingual recording into a single language.

  • 02

    Click any word

Playback jumps to that exact moment, and the transcript follows the audio word by word as it plays.

  • 03

    Fix it in place

Correct a word, rename a speaker. Changes stick to the transcript and carry through to every export.

  • 04

    English on demand

Same recording, one dropdown: keep the original languages or get an English translation instead.

  • 05

    Export anywhere

Plain text, SRT and VTT subtitles, or structured JSON with per-word timings intact.

  • 06

    Kept for later

Every transcript you make is saved and reopenable from “My transcripts” at the top of the page.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do I need an account?

To transcribe, yes — sign in with Google. It takes one click, needs no password, and is what lets us give everyone a fair share of the speech engine instead of the first heavy user exhausting it. You can still open the editor, load an existing transcript, or try the sample data without signing in.

Which languages does it handle?

Speech is recognised in the language it was spoken, including recordings that switch between Urdu and English mid-sentence. You can also ask for an English translation of any recording instead of the original.

How accurate is it?

Accuracy depends heavily on the recording — a clear voice note transcribes far better than a noisy speakerphone call. Rather than quote a marketing number, we let you hear the audio behind every word so you can check anything that looks off in seconds.

What happens to my audio?

It is sent to the speech engine, transcribed, and discarded. We do not keep the recording on our side. The transcript text is stored in your browser only.

How large a file can I upload?

Up to 25 MB running locally. On the hosted version the limit is lower because of a platform cap on request size — the upload box always shows the current figure. Direct-to-storage uploads for long recordings are on the roadmap.

Built for recordings people actually make

Most transcription tools are built and tested on clean English. Audnora is built around the messier case — two languages in one sentence, phone audio, people talking over each other — and around the idea that a transcript is only trustworthy if you can hear the moment behind any word in it.
